Issue #3 has been cancelled and the magazine is on hiatus while we regroup — and our website is moving to a new home.
The work continues quietly. Back issues remain available, and the door stays open to artists, collaborators, and readers.
Hintology began online — championing abstract photographers through interviews and curated work — before growing into printed editions made to break the conventions of the art book.
We think of abstraction as a gradient: work that deconstructs objective reality with intent, leans deep into subjectivity, or questions the medium through experimentation. Semi-abstract and figurative work is welcome too — when approached with originality.

When We Return
Submissions
Hintology is open to photographers, writers, and graphic designers. Submitting is free — up to ten works per category. We look for aesthetic quality, storytelling, emotional impact, and a true correspondence with the theme.
Submissions are paused during the hiatus. Tell us you’re interested and we’ll reach out when the next call opens.
Collaborate
We’re always looking for curators to form an editorial core — visual artists with an eye for a specialization, from minimalism to microscopy — alongside help with interviews, translation, design, and social.
Every contribution is credited. Interested? Write to us.
Stay in Touch
Questions, orders, submissions, or just to say hello — we answer every message.
